FAQs

Q1. Why am I here?
You are part of God’s creation intended here on purpose for a unique journey. As there are no mistakes in this universe and because all that God created was good, rest assured there is a purpose for your being here this very moment.
Q2. What should I do while I'm here?
A2. There are many answers to this question. Now that you know there is a purpose for you being here, Use your talents to serve others. Develop yourself and live your passions. Chase your excitement and live from love rather than fear. Stay on purpose.
Q3. What are my talents?
A3. First, let’s define “talent”.

talent : natural aptitude or skill.

natural : existing in or caused by nature; not made or caused by humankind

aptitude : natural ability to do something

skill : ability to do something well; expertise

So, we can describe “talent” loosely as “your natural ability to do something well”. You may already know your talents, or you may need some help to identify them. If you need help, ask a close friend of members of your family whom you love and trust. Just know that you probably have a unique blend of talents, different than anyone else on earth. You also probably have a unique way of expressing your blend of talents that is quite distinct from any other human on this planet.

Q4. Where is the best place to use my unique talents? How will I know when I've found my purpose?
A4. This answer is likely to change throughout your life and as your interests change. The short answer is: explore! Try new things. Note how you feel during and after each activity. I suggest you keep a tally system where you can score the relative strength of each activity by either adding (+1) or subtracting (-1) for each of the following criteria:

  • If you were excited during the activity: +1
  • If you were bored during the activity: -1
  • If you could do this activity all day and enjoy it: +1
  • If you were waiting for this activity to end: -1
  • If you were able to help others during this activity: +1
  • If people thanked you during this activity: +1
  • If you are excited to do this activity again: +1
  • If you are glad the activity is over and don’t want to do it again: -1
  • If the activity provides an opportunity to develop: +1

Add up all the numbers and give the activity a score. The higher the score, the better. A high score means you are matching your talents with service to others which is a great sign you’re living on purpose. If the score is low, that’s okay… keep exploring until you find something that better matches your talents and excitement.
